My username is DarthVorath, but I am posting from a IP address account due to the issue I'm having. I am having difficulty logging into my account. I was editing on my wiki when I suddenly got logged out of my account. I figured I was simply timed out of my login, since it remembers me for 365 days and the last time I had to login was last year. But when I put in my information, which I have saved, it gave me this message:

"There seems to be a problem with your login session; this action has been canceled as a precaution against session hijacking. Please resubmit the form."

I looked up this issue and most of the solutions involve adding something to a php file for MediaWiki which I don't how to do (and even if I did I'm not sure I can if I can't get into my account). I'm not sure if this is a widespread issue or if I'm the only one having this problem.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. 2601:205:4882:A10:BC27:AAAD:E7EF:FE7F 22:19, 31 July 2023 (UTC)

I've had similar problems for a while (see Phabricator). --miki-- (talk) 14:30, 2 August 2023 (UTC)
Okay, I cleared my cookies for site and was able to log in, so that might've been what was causing it. Miki, if you're still having problems, try clearing your cookies or cache to see if that changes anything (unless you already have). DarthVorath (talk) 02:48, 3 August 2023 (UTC)
This also worked for me - was having login issues on HTTP (only). Not really sure what's causing it yet, but, forcing Chrome to drop everything on *shoutwiki.com worked a treat. Clearly something is getting stuck somewhere, somehow. --Lewis Cawte (talk) ShoutWiki Staff 20:49, 4 August 2023 (UTC)
Well, that didn't work for me. I successfully rollbacked an edit, then I tried to protect a page and edit a page unsuccessfully. Strangely, though, I could apply the protection through Special:ApiSandbox. --miki-- (talk) 10:30, 5 August 2023 (UTC)
