Forum:Template with HTML table code

Sometimes there's a need to build a table with different templates in an article which is basically having a template creating the header part and templates for (different kinds) of rows. I have observed the following problem with templates that employ HTML/XHTML table code: in the article the table appears moved x-lines down. I think the reason being that each template adds a new line after it was used.

Is there a way to suppress new lines? OR I know it can be resolved with a wikitable with pre-created rows but that means creating the standard 100 of (each type of) rows. IT would mean creating a large template full of {{#if}}. Almael (talk) 13:29, 31 January 2014 (UTC)
