Forum:No wanted templates/wanted files shown in hu.right.shoutwiki.com

In hu.right.shoutwiki.com both reports show no entries. I added a page: http://hu.right.shoutwiki.com/wiki/Tesztoldal2 with a dummy template, which is missing. It, and many other missing templates are not shown.

Also, the category:Pages with broken file links (Kategória:Hibás fájlhivatkozásokat tartalmazó lapok) shows 22 thousand pages, numerous files are missing, but the report "wanted files" shows none of them.

I also tried the api request, the same result: http://hu.right.shoutwiki.com/w/api.php?action=query&list=querypage&qppage=Wantedtemplates —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Vajna1 (talkcontribs) 13:31, 29 August 2015. Please sign your posts with --~~~~!

This is somewhat of a complicated issue, for various reasons...let me explain what is going on and why and what can be done about it.
MediaWiki has a so-called miser mode, which, when enabled, disables certain database-intensive operations, thus improving performance. Miser mode is essentially always enabled for bigger sites, including, but definitely not limited to Wikimedia Foundation sites, ShoutWiki sites and many third-party MediaWiki sites.
I can't remember offhand, but I recall that some of these intensive features, like Special:WantedPages, are permanently disabled on the English Wikipedia and likely also on other big Wikipedias. This is a rather drastic measure, but obviously necessary, given the sheer size of the English Wikipedia.
ShoutWiki sites aren't quite as big or popular as the English Wikipedia (yet anyway! ;), so our sites have a tool called Special:RefreshSpecial, which allows bureaucrats to manually refresh selected special page(s) or all special pages.
Of course it goes without saying that this update process should be more automated. That's something our technical staff are working on, but making the process scale is hard, which is essentially why the RefreshSpecial special page exists.
Given the size of your wiki, I'm pretty sure that using RefreshSpecial fails; I've manually run the equivalent command-line script for the time being. (Updating Special:MostLinkedPages took over five minutes, for example, while Special:WantedPages took "only" over three minutes.) --Jack PhoenixShoutWiki Staff (Contact) 14:13, 29 August 2015 (UTC)
What about WantedTemplates? Is it also that expensive? Vajna1 (talk) 18:52, 29 August 2015 (UTC)
Thanks for adding both. Wanted Templates is fast and works fine. Wanted files (Keresett fájlok, url: http://hu.right.shoutwiki.com/wiki/Speci%C3%A1lis:Keresett_f%C3%A1jlok) is problematic, however.
I have a page: Tesztoldal2, it has a missing page, dummy_kep.jpg, it is correctly in category "Hibás fájlhivatkozásokat tartalmazó lapok"
that is, Category:Pages with broken file links.
However, there are 22 247 pages in this category, most of them does not contain any file reference, and also no erroneous file reference.
For example page "100% (folyóirat)" does not contain any images, page ".NET keretrendszer" does not contain any missing image. Both are not in the category "Hibás fájlhivatkozásokat tartalmazó lapok", but they appear on the first page of this category: http://hu.right.shoutwiki.com/w/index.php?title=Kateg%C3%B3ria:Hib%C3%A1s_f%C3%A1jlhivatkoz%C3%A1sokat_tartalmaz%C3%B3_lapok&action=edit&redlink=1
It takes for me tremendous time to search all these 22 247 pages, to find out which images are really missing. I assume, less than 0.6% of the listed pages have really missing files. Could you please help me somehow to show a correct listing in the category: Hibás fájlhivatkozásokat tartalmazó lapok ?
Thanks a lot in advance. Vajna (talk) 22:00, 5 September 2015 (UTC)
