I'm trying to copy over my theme from Wikia over to Shoutwiki, but I've been having trouble with designing the theme.

Tempsnip .png

- This is the theme on Wikia. It has the headbar as blue and the rest of the background as Grey + The buttons and toolbars as blue.

CurrentCss.png

- This is the current look of the wiki. I want to know how to change the color of the white areas to the left and the white area under the css. Can anyone help me?

I also want to know how to change the color of all urls to a custom one. Thanks! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by ARavenInATree (talkcontribs) . Please sign your posts with --~~~~!

So the white areas to the left are #background_strip which is where any logo uploaded as Wiki.png will appear. The one further down is controlled by .widget. This should help you get to grips with styling hyperlinks. Note that MediaWiki has some custom classes for internal and external links. I'd suggest you get familiar with your browsers developer tools - available in most browsers, you can select elements from the HTML, and most will let you scroll through the styles active on that particular element so you can find out where a particular element inherits its styling from. Failing that, follow the levels up, and you should be able to find things! You can also use them to test out changes, just make sure to copy them out and save them in your relevant .css page on-wiki! --Lewis Cawte (talk) ShoutWiki Staff 17:53, 23 May 2020 (UTC)
