Hi all,

Just wanted to let you know I've finished patching our MediaWiki codebase against the various security issues made public on 15 December 2021 and fixed in supported MediaWiki releases (MediaWiki 1.35 branch and newer). 1.34, which we're currently on for a little more while, has reached its end-of-life (EOL) and thus the Wikimedia Foundation (WMF) and the MediaWiki developer community did not supply a patch for the 1.34 version, so I had to hand-craft one based on the 1.35 version.
I've changed the MediaWiki version by adding a "-SW.1" suffix to indicate we're running a custom, patched version.

If you find any security issues in software that ShoutWiki runs, please email ytirucesmoc.ikiwtuohs and/or ping myself & Lcawte directly. (Remember that we ❤️ open source and your contributions to our source code are welcome!)

Thank you for your continued support and let's make 2022 an even better year for ShoutWiki! --Jack PhoenixShoutWiki Staff (Contact) 23:43, 15 December 2021 (UTC)
