RE: Partial Importing[edit source]

Hello there Michael,
I noticed your message on Jack's talk page and decided to reply. Yes, it is possible to import individual pages, you can do this via Special:Export on the original wiki and Special:Import on the new one. Do note though, the import cannot be larger then 2mb, so you'll have to export and import only a few pages each time. More detailed instructions can be found here. If you have any other questions, feel free to contact me. --Jedimca0ShoutWiki Staff(talk) 20:41, 25 November 2010 (UTC)

  • Hi again,
I have spoken with techs about this, and we can actually import those pages for you. We don't normally do it this way, but if you can provide us with a list of pages, the techs can export them from the original wiki and then import them to the new one the same way they normally import the full database dumps. You can either give us a list of all pages that need to be imported, or a list of the pages you can't import yourself. --Jedimca0ShoutWiki Staff(talk) 21:20, 25 November 2010 (UTC)

Image[edit source]

Thanks for your help regarding 90210pedia. I removed the "x." However, now something weird is happening and I'm not getting a background image at all. Didn't delete anything. Tried uploading a new copy of the image, and saw no difference. Do you know what might be going on? -- James26 (talk) 23:35, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

Thanks. Just did that. The problem is "MelrosePlacePic" has stopped appearing as the background altogether. It hasn't been deleted, because I can still see it on the wiki. Things were fine until I tried protecting the image (gave it admininstrators-only protection). Might this have something to do with that? -- James26 (talk) 23:48, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
How silly of me to miss the obvious. Seeing it fine now. Thanks a lot for your help. -- James26 (talk) 23:58, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
