PreloadManager[edit]

This page links to PreloadManager's docs on MediaWiki.org (mw:Extension:PreloadManager), although it says the extension hasn't been maintained in a while. Does ShoutWiki host it's own version of PreloadManager as a private repository, or is the help page outdated? SamanthaNguyen (talk) 06:24, 4 January 2017 (UTC)

That looks like a case of upstream bug #1 (or T2001 as it's called these days), a.k.a "docs suck". PreloadManager is an extension by Jean-Lou Dupont, who hasn't been actively involved with MediaWiki since 2009 (and even then many of his extensions had weird interdependencies) — to my knowledge, we've never offered any of his extensions on ShoutWiki. The one preloading-related extension we do offer is Rob Church's Preloader, which, too, is pretty old and outdated. --Jack PhoenixShoutWiki Staff (Contact) 16:31, 4 January 2017 (UTC)
