Cross-Wiki Use[edit source]
The introduction states that "Editing on the help namespace is restricted, because these Help: pages are shared between all ShoutWiki wikis." However, at least on my main wiki, the help files do not appear to show up. I've solved the issue (in the interim) by redirecting the page, but it would be nice to know if this has been noticed yet or not. 〆vonPreußen／talk

Wikia's new skin is an opportunity for Shoutwiki[edit source]
As the staff of shoutwiki may know, wikia is changing over to a mandatory new skin, on November 3rd. This has the community in an uproar. A new forum has begun which gives editors alternatives on where they can transfer their wikis. Shoutwiki is prominently mentioned as an alternative a lot in this forum.
This is a great opportunity for shoutwiki to acquire hundreds of dedicated editors. Would your site consider creating a temporary page for the next month to two months, touting the benefits of shoutwiki compared to wikia, how easy it is to transfer, and how great the assistance will be from the staff? We could then link to this page, and actively advertise it on wikia.
- As someone who just moved his wiki from Wikia to ShoutWiki after seeing said references, I'd offer to help to build and circulate such a page if the staff are up for it. 〆vonPreußen／talk
Page missing[edit source]
The page that is supposed to tell you how to configure your wiki is lost. I think it should be added. There's a red link for it.
Wiki tasks whose names shall not be uttered[edit source]
Several things that authors might have to do do not appear on page Help:Contents. There should be a link to how to delete a wiki. Even if there is no author procedure for this and the author must contact someone to get it done, there should be a page explaining that and a link to that page. Ditto for changing the name of a wiki. Newbie authors shouldn't have to stumble around looking for this stuff.
Why is Creating a new wiki under Shoutwiki Features? I would think that creating a new wiki has more to do with managing a wiki than being a feature.
Page Help:Contents has two red links. Are people placing them in hopes that someone will write pages for them?
