I've tried finding solutions to this, but nobody seems to have asked, or at least been answered. So here it goes: I'm trying to upload a wiki logo, and I've gone through the necessary steps. I'm using the Monaco skin, and I've renamed the image I want as a logo as Wiki.png, and resized it so it's 150 x 150 pixels. However, when I upload the image, its immediately replaced with the default logo provided (even if I deleted the default image), with the actual image I uploaded being listed in the file history. I have no idea why this is happening, and any help would be appreciated. I'm new to this site. ArchReaperN7 (talk) 05:43, 1 November 2017

A link to your wiki would be helpful. --Saftzie (talk) 00:46, 2 November 2017 (UTC)
Of course, my apologies. http://en.forabettertomorrow.shoutwiki.com/wiki/United_North_American_States. ArchReaperN7 (talk) 01:06, 2 November 2017
FWIW, when I visited your wiki just now, I see the (over-sized) logo you uploaded at about 1am 2 Nov UTC. --Saftzie (talk) 22:43, 2 November 2017 (UTC)
When I experimented with this on my Wiki, I found there was a delay of some mminutes before the logo was actually replaced. It might have been a cache thing though. Anyway, if the logo you want is your "For A Better Tomorrow" picture, it seems you're sorted.

I just went and checked, and nothing on my site changed. It's the same default picture "ShoutWiki - Express yourself and be heard" that I can't seem to get rid of. It shows up on my phone I've noticed, but not on my PC. It's really weird and irritating. ArchReaperN7 (talk) 04:25, 2 November 2017
My advice (FWIW) is to:
  1. Go to Special:ListFiles and delete Wiki.png
  2. Then have a cup of tea / beer / darn a sock or something
  3. After ten minutes upload your image and call it Wiki.png
  4. Then have another cup of tea / beer / darn another sock or something
  5. After ten minutes Reload your wiki to drive out anything cached (so Ctrl+F5 if you're Windows or Linux; god knows what on Mac).
From my experience, there's some part of this process which can take some time. No idea why, buy hey, it's a free service so I can't complain.
