Our wiki at http://sdcbulletinboard.shoutwiki.com redirects to https://sdcbulletinboard.shoutwiki.com/wiki/Main_Page which displays some internal "Staff" page. It says there to try http instead of https, but it still redirects to that page.

How can we get our wiki back? SDC (talk) 16:51, 6 September 2015 (UTC)

Hi SDC,
Your issue is caused by trying to access ShoutWiki over HTTPS, as we don't support HTTPS yet. You should be able to access your wiki normally over HTTP at http://sdcbulletinboard.shoutwiki.com ; you might need to clear your web browser's cache and/or tweak the configuration settings of your browser plugins, if you have any such things installed. This guide may prove helpful: http://classically.me/blogs/how-clear-hsts-settings-major-browsers
Best regards,

I know this thread is a month old, but I think I can add 2¢. Shoutwiki employs HTTP Strict Transport Security on its "unsupported" HTTPS connections. So if you've ever, even accidentally, visited any shoutwiki wiki via HTTPS, for all subsequent visits your browser does not even bother trying HTTP and goes straight to HTTPS, which lands you on staff.shoutwiki.com, effectively rendering the shoutwiki wiki inacessible. (I know it may have the opposite effect, but I suggest not attempting to visit www.shoutwiki.com over HTTPS.) HSTS is intended to keep eavesdroppers from forcing HTTPS connections to downgrade to HTTP connections, even if you manually try to force it by typing "http://whatever.shoutwiki.com:80/" in your url bar. Making your browser "forget" a site's HSTS policy is browser-dependent. --99.135.166.169 22:25, 2 October 2015 (UTC)
