Hi all, I created a (private) wiki here under the assumption that, based on the help page for importing wikis to Shoutwiki, I would be able to import individual pages from another wiki, that has gone into indefinite read-only mode, to my Shoutwiki. Unfortunately, I have discovered that is not the case and only Shoutwiki staff can import any pages (as an aside, that page should really be updated then).

Now, I am aware that I could contact the staff and request that they import the entire wiki I am referring to by linking to a data dump but, seeing as said wiki, being an online encyclopedia about a population nation roleplaying game, contains content created by a multitude of other users and I only want my articles imported (since those are obviously my own creations), I don't think that's the best option (lest I want to suffer and have Shout import the 3600 hundred articles from the other wiki and then I go through the painstaking effort of deleting all but the 30 articles that are my own creation)

The other issues I am facing is the wiki I was using and need my articles imported from utilized imported templates from Wikipedia and I would therefore also need Lua installed due to module requirements.

So to sum it up - is there a way to contact staff with a request to import only specific articles from another wiki and get Lua installed so I can utilize the required Wikipedia templates on my own wiki or am I SOL in regards to what I need in regards to my wiki? You can use Special:Contact on your wiki to contact staff. Their response time to contacts is somewhat variable. Lua is already installed on all wikis using the Scribunto extension. --Saftzie (talk) 00:48, 22 March 2019 (UTC)
